Tudor Barn Eltham Summer Music and Arts Festival

http://www.tudorbarneltham.co.uk/

The recently held Tudor Barn Arts Festival introduced tai-chi, art, sculpture, music, dance, workshops and design in the inspirational setting of Tudor Barn. Tremendously well supported by Greenwich Council and Greenwich Community College, the festival brought together artists of all levels, professional and amateur, and provided a space to showcase the many talents in and around Greenwich.

Marcus Luck, the organiser, put on a tremendous festival and brought together a huge number of artists and organisations to celebrate arts and culture in Greenwich.

The festival is a major addition to the Greenwich Cultural Olympiad, 2012. The four-year Cultural Olympiad is an inspirational programme of events that runs alongside preparations for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Mudchute Park and Farm held their annual Nativity and Living Crib Service on Sunday 13th December. A whole host of events took place throughout the day, including storytelling for children read by the amazing staff from the Idea Store Canary Wharf, face painting by Sharon of Mudchute Farm and the moving crib and carol service taken by the Church of Christ & St John with St Luke. Very well attended and organised, a big thank you to all the Mudchute staff for putting on such an amazing experience.

It was a special event and one in which I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph.

Gary Clarke's "Things Behind The Sun" solo exhibition incorporated a large body of contemporary work developed over several years. The joint exhibition included several pieces from the artists' own collection, including Bichelle's "Peppers In Motion" and "The Last of the Wilberness". £10 from every sale of The Last of the Wilberness will be donated to The World Land Trust for the protection of the natural habitats, a cause which both Bichelle and Gary are passionate about, and aim to protect at least 100 acres of natural habitat. So far Spot On Art has raised enough money to protect 5 acres of rainforest.

Thank you so much to everyone who attended the two-week exhibition and Private View on Thursday 22nd October, and took the opportunity to purchase Original and Limited Edition work. A big thank you to Andy and Rosie of Spiky Feather for their musical accompaniment throughout the evening.
